Wellington Central

Central areas will appeal to those who walk to work and who  enjoy the buzz of the city.  There’s no need to catch public transport from Mt Victoria, Thorndon or Oriental Bay. Well, maybe on the worst days of winter you  might be forgiven!

In these densely populated and expensive city areas your outdoor  space is likely to be limited to a balcony or small garden – but  that’s not unusual if you’re familiar with larger cities like London,  New York or Sydney. This does mean that properties do tend to be  low maintenance, which often suits a cosmopolitan lifestyle.

Don’t let the lack of a large garden deter you though. There are  some great parks, walkways and public amenities to stretch your  legs including Waitangi Park, Mt Victoria, Te Ahu Mairangi, and  Oriental Parade.

Most of all, living in a central Wellington suburb enables you to  enjoy the vibrancy and pulse of the city, via it’s people, arts and  culture and the multitude of social activities.
