Where to Live in Wellington is written by Tim Stokes BBS MNZIV MRICS Registered Property Valuer. Growing up in Wellington, Tim spent two decades working across the city, inspecting and valuing thousands of homes. His experience includes studio apartments that sell for under $150,000, all the way to grand family homes and lifestyle properties that sell for over $5 million. 

 

His professional journey eventually led him overseas, working as a Chartered Surveyor in London and Southeast England, before settling into his current home in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

 

Having inspected and analysed residential real estate across three distinct global markets, he gained a unique perspective on what makes a community thrive and how the right neighbourhood can bring genuine joy to the people who live there.

Tim remains firmly connected to his hometown, and family and friends in Wellington. He keeps a keen eye on the property market in the city and property issues across the Wellington Region.
